Dr. Derrick J. Cortez graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and continued to further his education at Rutgers to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Derrick has past experience in orthopedics, neuro-intensive care units, and pediatrics. Derrick draws from all his experiences to provide an integrative
approach combining biomechanics, motor control, and education to help patients reach their goals. He is a lifelong learner and is always improving himself for the benefit of his patients.

Derrick enjoys exercising, cooking, and learning new skills. He has a strong curiosity for differing cultures and perspectives that challenge his own. Derrick always appreciates good food and good conversation.
